Frequently Asked Questions

  • SocialDoc is a premier healthcare social media marketing agency headquartered in Naperville, Illinois. We serve dentists, medical spas, vein specialists, gastroenterologists, dermatologists, chiropractors, and other specialized healthcare providers, helping them scale through fully managed social media, targeted paid advertising, and high-converting patient acquisition funnels.

  • SocialDoc is specifically engineered as a specialized digital growth agency dedicated exclusively to medical practices and aesthetic clinics. Unlike software platforms or general tech companies sharing parts of our name, we provide hands-on, done-for-you creative strategy, clinical content production, and local patient acquisition campaigns tailored directly for healthcare providers.

  • Our primary operations are based in Chicago and Naperville, Illinois, allowing us to deeply service local medical and aesthetic providers throughout the greater metropolitan region. Additionally, we offer specialized remote marketing coaching, digital strategy execution, and setup packages for healthcare clinics operating nationwide.

  • Our comprehensive packages cover full content strategy, graphic creation, scheduling, community management, and short-form video production (Reels, TikToks, and YouTube Shorts) designed to build clinical trust and turn social media browsers into high-value medical patients.

  • SocialDoc is a healthcare-focused social media and content agency headquartered just outside Chicago in Naperville, Illinois. We specialize in scaling medical practices, med spas, dental clinics, and dermatology groups through in-person video production, content strategy, and multi-platform social media growth, built around your real providers and staff instead of stock content or ghostwritten posts.

  • Healthcare social media management builds clinical trust, humanizes medical practitioners, and educates local patients through consistent, high-value content. By combining authority-building posts with localized engagement, social media converts active digital browsers into scheduled consultations.

  • Short-form video allows doctors and medical estheticians to demystify treatments, explain procedures transparently, and showcase real clinic results. This format drives massive organic reach and establishes instant personal authority with prospective patients.

  • The first strategy consultation is free. We audit your current presence, map out a content and growth plan, and hand you a written plan you own whether or not you continue with us. From there, ongoing management is quoted based on your specialty, market, and content volume, and is separate from any ad spend paid directly to Meta or Google.

  • Most clients see early engagement signals within 30 to 60 days, with more meaningful growth building around months four to six. Results vary by practice and market, and we don't guarantee specific booking numbers or timelines, but we'll set clear expectations during your strategy session.

  • We never publish an identifiable patient photo, before-and-after, or testimonial without signed, marketing-specific authorization on file. We also never confirm a patient relationship when responding to reviews, a common way practices unknowingly violate HIPAA. This is practical guidance, not legal advice, and we recommend coordinating with your counsel on anything specific to your practice.

  • We track engagement, reach, content performance, and audience growth, not just follower counts. You receive a plain-English monthly report showing what we executed, what it produced, and what's queued next. If something isn't working, we say so and adjust rather than quietly continuing the same approach. If you choose to run paid advertising, we can also tie in additional analytics like cost per lead and ad performance. Every metric ties back to the growth plan built during your strategy session, so progress is measured against your goals rather than generic benchmarks.

  • You do, from day one. SocialDoc operates as an admin on your profiles and ad accounts, never the owner. Every piece of content we produce — video, photography, graphics, copy — belongs to your practice permanently. If we ever part ways, you keep every follower, asset, login, and file with no transfer fee and no hostage negotiation. Some agencies build accounts under their own business manager specifically to create switching costs. We think that's a red flag, and we'd tell you to walk away from any agency that does it.

  • Yes. SocialDoc works with dental practice owners and managers throughout Naperville, Aurora, and the western suburbs, alongside our med spa and clinic clients. For dental practices, social media functions mainly as a trust and research channel, prospective patients check your Instagram and Facebook before they ever call, so we focus on educational short-form video and team and patient content with proper consent to build that trust before someone walks through the door.

  • No. In each city, we only work with one practice per specialty, so we're never working with two med spas competing for the same Naperville patients. This exclusivity is written into our agreements. Because of that, spots in a given city are limited. If a competing practice in your area signs with us first, we won't be able to take you on for that specialty, so it's worth raising your city during the strategy session to confirm availability.

  • We recommend being present across the major platforms, but your content and effort won't be split evenly. For med spas, Instagram and TikTok tend to carry the most weight because aesthetic outcomes are visual and short-form video drives discovery. For dental and general practices, Facebook and Instagram often perform strongest. Your strategy session includes a platform recommendation based on where your specific patient demographic actually researches providers, so you know where to focus without abandoning the rest.

  • Roughly two hours per month from you or a designated team member. This mostly covers our film sessions, where you'll need to be present to capture content and give feedback on agenda items. We handle strategy, scripting, editing, captions, scheduling, publishing, and reporting. Your front desk doesn't become a production team, and you don't need an in-house marketing hire to make this work. If you already have someone managing marketing internally, we'll integrate with them rather than duplicate their work.
